The Eastern Lincoln Historical Society meets on the second Monday of each month for a program on local or national history. Meetings are free and open to the public. We serve light refreshments.


Programs scheduled for 2024 include:


  • Field trip to Woodside plantation. Built in the late 1700’s Woodside is on the National Historic Register.


  • Al Kirby portrayal of life as a soldier in World War II.


  • Local historian Tanner Howard on Old Denver.


  • Beth Yarborough on Jean Lafitte in Lincoln County


  • Hart Square: Log Cabin Museum

Bill Young shared his WWII experiences as a soldier in WWII at the battle of Iwo Jima.
